The large black bear in this video was observed ambling around a Monrovia, California neighborhood last Friday morning. The bear strolled through domestic yards, driveways and rested in a neighboring street.
The Monrovia Authorities Department states officers observed the bear’s activities, after individuals phoned in, and called state Department of Fish and Wildlife workers to the area.

The bear was eventually tranquilized and taken to the nearby suitable forest environment, stated Tim Daly, a Fish and Wildlife representative. “Among our men out on the scene described the bear as substantial– about 400 pounds (181 kgs)– female and older,” Daly stated. “In the bear world, she would be described as elderly.”
The bear was otherwise great, he stated.
” It’s a little disconcerting how close and comfy individuals were getting up next to this bear, however there were no events, so we more than happy about that,” he included. It was thought to be the same bear seen a day earlier in Monrovia, where it’s not unusual for animals to wander out of the stretching Angeles National Forest above the city.
Monrovia sits at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, and when the weather warms up the huge mammals tend to come down and search for food each year, according to the Monrovia city bear safety page
